Peanut Choc Chip Cookies
 

Using peanut butter in this recipe is far better than using chopped peanuts.

Ingredients:

125 gm (4 ounces) butter or margarine
1/4 cup crunchy peanut butter
3/4 cup brown sugar firmly packed
1 egg, beaten
3/4 cup self raising flour
3/4 cup plain flour
1/2 cup rolled oats or quick-cooking oats
1/3 cup small choc bits

Method:

Pre heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Melt and cook butter and peanut butter together in a pan for 3 minutes.  Cool 5 minutes.  Add sugar and egg to pan and mix well.  Add remaining ingredients and mix well again. 

Roll tablespoonfuls into balls, flatten onto greased trays.

Bake at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit)  for 12 - 15 minutes.  Stand for 5 minutes before transferring to wire rack.

Notes:

These are excellent in lunch boxes.
