Pauline's Fruit Crumble Topping
 

This topping is lovely on top of any stewed fruit.

 

   

 

 


To convert any of these ingredients into US measurements please use this Quantity Conversion Chart.

Ingredients:

1/4 cup coconut
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup oats
1/2 cup plain flour
100 gm (3 and half ounces) melted butter or margarine
Your choice of stewed fruit.

Method:

Pre heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.

Place the stewed fruit in a greased baking dish and set aside.

Cool the melted butter and mix with all the remaining ingredients.  Sprinkle the crumble over the fruit but don't press down hard.  Cook at 180 degrees Celsius (350 degrees Fahrenheit) for half an hour.

Serves 4.

Notes:

Any stewed fruit such as apples, plums, rhubarb or gooseberries would make good substitutions.

This dessert is lovely served with custard or ice cream.
