All-Bran and Sultana Biscuits, Low Fat and Low Sugar
I like this biscuit recipe because it is probably as healthy as a sweet biscuit could ever be. There is not a huge amount of sugar, the amount of fat is very low and there is the benefit of fibre from the All-bran and the sultanas. Because the sugar content is not high the biscuits will become softer, faster than a standard sweet biscuit would.

Cooking time: 12 minutes

75 gm butter, softened
1/2 cup caster sugar
1/2 cup sultanas
1/2 cup SR flour
1/2 cup plain flour
1/2 teaspoon bi-carbonate of soda
1/2 cup All-Bran
Heat oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
Beat butter and sugar together until light and creamy. Beat in egg and sultanas.
Beat in flours and bicarbonate of soda. Lastly beat in Allbran.
Roll walnut sized spoonfulls into balls and place on greased baking tray. Cook for approximately 12 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius.
Make approximately 25 biscuits.
