We rarely eat desserts in my family. I try to serve soups
and main courses that will fill us up as I feel too many desserts
will make us unhealthy and will most certainly not be a good
investment in a long and healthy life.
I have an exceedingly sweet tooth,
far more so than my husband and teenage children, so I know that I
would always be the one devouring the left-overs the next day if I
made desserts on a regular basis.
Instead, I encourage my family to have a piece of fruit after
their dinners if they are still hungry.
