Converting volumes, weights and oven temperatures
I'm aware that cooking measurements are not the same in various countries of the world. In Australia we use metric measurements but we also measure a lot of our ingredients by the cupful. If your cup measurement is not 240 - 250 mls or 8.5 (US) liquid ounces then you may need to adjust the quantities up or down accordingly.
Please note:
The Australian cup is 250 mls which is 13 mls more than the American cup.
The Australian teaspoon is 5 mls which is the same as the American teaspoon
The Australian tablespoon is 20 mls which is 5 mls bigger than the American tablespoon.
The conversions below are approximate but sufficiently accurate to enable the recipe to be a success.
