Make your own toilet cleaners
First up, here are some interesting facts about toilet cleanliness:
The flushing handle on the toilet usually has far more germs on it than the toilet seat. The average office desk has more germs on it than a toilet seat. 95% of adults claim they wash their hands after using the loo but it reality the figure is less than 70%. So, let's work on this!
Always close the lid down before flushing the toilet. Germs can be propelled into the air by the force of the water when flushing.
The types of germs found on toilet seats don't survive long after they are planted there. Your skin acts as a very good barrier against germs. There would need to be an open cut, a sore or a mucous membrane (i.e. mouth or rectum) in contact with the germs for them to be able to enter your body. Even sexually transmitted diseases don't survive long outside the body.

Cleaning toilets method 1:
Sprinkle baking soda around the bowl. Drip a few drops of liquid soap onto the toilet brush and scrub out the bowl. To clean the outside of the bowl sprinkle some baking soda onto a damp rag. Wipe over, rinse cloth and wipe off any residue.
Cleaning toilets method 2:
Sprinkle a cup of borax around the toilet bowl and leave over night. In the morning scrub the bowl and flush. For extra cleaning power sprinkle the bowl with a 1/4 cup of white vinegar before sprinkling on the borax.
Cleaning toilets method 3:
Pour 1 litre of coke around the toilet bowl, scrub the toilet well and leave over night. In the morning scrub the bowl again and flush.
Cleaning toilets method 4:
This hint is for stains in the toilet. Combine the juice of a lemon mixed with enough borax to give a thick paste. Smear onto the stain. Leave on for about 15 minutes and then brush off. Borax is a very strong powder so wear gloves and be careful.
Cleaning toilets method 5:
Pour 1 cup white vinegar around the inside of the toilet bowl. Scrub well and leave for an hour. Scrub again and then flush.
Cleaning toilets method 6:
Drop 3 Vitamin C tablets into the toilet bowl. Let them dissolve for an hour. Scrub this mixture around the bowl and flush.
Cleaning toilets method 7:
Drop 2 Alka Seltzer tablets into the toilet bowl. Let them dissolve for 20 minutes. Scrub this mixture around the bowl and flush.
